Dr. Bill Bennett and his team of veterinary professionals are proud to serve the pet owners of Williston, Florida and have accrued more than thirty years of direct experience within the veterinary field.

Dr. Bill Bennett originally attended the Auburn School of Veterinary Medicine and has been refining his techniques for delivering precise and effective veterinary care for decades.

Our office manager, Sherry Baldwin, has worked at Williston Veterinary Clinic for more than two decades, while our veterinary technician, Erin Baldwin received rigorous veterinary training before joining our team.

Our approach to veterinary medicine involves “no-frills” or confusing expenses. We’re clear and direct, honor our clients and their pets and dedicate ourselves to providing effective care to optimize the life of your cat or dog. Dr. Bennett graduated from the University of Florida in 1966 (BS in Animal Science) and from Auburn University in 1970 (DVM). After veterinary school he served his country for two years in the United States Army (1970 through 1972). He is a member of American Veterinary Medical Association, Florida Veterinary Medical Association, Marion County Veterinary Medical Association, Alachua County Veterinary Medical Association (former president), Florida Cattlemen’s Association and Levy County Cattlemen’s Association (former president and secretary/treasurer). He has one daughter who is a nurse at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida and who is a super person. Dr. Bennett grew up loving animals and has carried this passion as a veterinary practitioner for the past 40 years. Special interests include practicing veterinary medicine, caring for his pets, raising a small herd of cows (part of the family), wildlife and forestry.

Brandie has been with us since late November of 2023 as our certified veterinarian technician. Her love for animals since she was a young girl has pushed her animal career from equine to now small animal. Special interests are hiking, hunting, horseback riding and spending quality time with her husband and kids.

Our practice manager and head receptionist since 1993. She comes in singing every morning and leaves singing each evening. Special interests are her grandchildren, hunting, fishing and making everybody happy.
Dr. Hew grew up in Miami, FL and moved to Gainesville, FL in 2012 to follow her dream of becoming a veterinarian, despite having no pets as a child! She earned her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from the University of Florida in 2016. Before completing her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2022, Dr. Hew gained experience as a veterinary surgery technician at UF, as a veterinary technician for an ophthalmology practice, and as a veterinary technician at Williston Veterinary Clinic.

After veterinary school, she completed a private mixed practice internship in Thomasville, GA and worked as an Associate Veterinarian there for an additional year, treating dogs, cats, and horses. Since returning to Williston Veterinary Clinic, Dr. Hew has loved reconnecting with the WVC family. Her special interests include veterinary medicine, spending time with family and friends, and enjoying life with her partner and their pets.

Jess has been part of our team since May 2025 as a Veterinary Technician. She earned her Certification of Veterinary Assistant in 2022. Her passion for animals began in childhood on a 20-acre farm filled with horses, goats, rabbits, chickens, and more. Over her three years in the veterinary field, she has worked with a wide range of animals, from cats and dogs to exotic pets, including rodents, reptiles, and birds. Jess’s favorite part of her work is educating clients, believing that the more you know about your pets, the better care we can provide for them.
Leila started working with us part-time while finishing her senior year of high school. She graduated in May 2025 as a certified veterinary assistant and soon began working full-time. A fourth-generation cattle rancher, Leila raises both registered Black Angus and commercial cattle. Her love for animals has been evident since childhood. Her special interests include caring for her rescue dog “Whiskey,” tending to her cattle, and helping on her family ranch. She is also the granddaughter of our singing receptionist, Sherry.
