At Williston Veterinary Clinic, our goal is always to satisfy pet owners who depend on us when it’s time for a surgical procedure or who simply require dependable, routine veterinary care.
Dr. Bill Bennett and his team of veterinary professionals are proud to serve the pet owners of Williston, Florida and have accrued more than thirty years of direct experience within the veterinary field.
Dr. Bill Bennett originally attended the Auburn School of Veterinary Medicine and has been refining his techniques for delivering precise and effective veterinary care for decades.
Our office manager, Sherry Baldwin, has worked at Williston Veterinary Clinic for more than two decades, while our veterinary technicians, Deborah Martin, Erin Barger, Alexis Bonick, Courtney Bounds and Mike Kanzlemar, have each received rigorous veterinary training before joining our team.
Our approach to veterinary medicine involves “no-frills” or confusing expenses. We’re clear and direct, honor our clients and their pets and dedicate ourselves to providing effective care to optimize the life of your cat or dog. Pet owners from Williston, Florida and beyond have grown to trust us, whether they require a check-up, vaccination, nutritional tips for their pet, acute surgical procedure or anything in-between!
Dr. Bennett graduated from the University of Florida in 1966 (BS in Animal Science) and from Auburn University in 1970 (DVM). After veterinary school he served his country for two years in the United States Army (1970 through 1972). He is a member of American Veterinary Medical Association, Florida Veterinary Medical Association, Marion County Veterinary Medical Association, Alachua County Veterinary Medical Association (former president), Florida Cattlemen’s Association and Levy County Cattlemen’s Association (former president and secretary/treasurer). He has one daughter who is a nurse at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida and who is a super person. Dr. Bennett grew up loving animals and has carried this passion as a veterinary practitioner for the past 40 years. Special interests include practicing veterinary medicine, caring for his pets, raising a small herd of cows (part of the family), wildlife and forestry.
“I look forward to every day and meeting old and new friends.”
In fall of 2016, Dr. Schaedel joined the team at Williston Veterinary Clinic after spending six years working with rescue animals at Alachua County Animal Services. She has a strong interest in soft tissue surgery and feline medicine but enjoys seeing all of the beloved pets that come into the clinic. She loves living in Gainesville with her truly outstanding husband, two children, seven cats, one dog, seven tortoises, four lizards and five snakes. That makes her and her husband a pair of docs!
Our practice manager and head receptionist since 1993. She comes in singing every morning and leaves singing each evening. Special interests are her grandchildren, hunting, fishing and making everybody happy.
Deborah has been with us since June 2017 as a veterinary assistant. She has an associates degree from Santa Fe College in zoo animal technology. She is head volunteer at Ashton Biological Preserve, a nonprofit organization doing conservation work through education and research. She is our most recent team member and boy does she fit in well.
